This trade has become so common and so easy that it is the second largest criminal industry in the world, due to the low risk and high profit.Trafficking is not just an issue that happens to people in other countries. The United States is a source and transit country, and is also considered one of the top destination points for victims of child trafficking and exploitation.It is estimated that 2 million children are exploited in the global commercial sex trade each year. These girls are going through somthing unimaginable.

Although this slave trade is very large, there are actually a lot of people who are unaware of the vast majority of children being sold. Pretty much anybody can help to raise awareness. There are many outlets for this, and a lot of them dont have any cost. This is good for people whos financial situation does not alow them to donate, or help in other ways. If you are interested in spreading awareness it'd be a good idea to start by looking at some organiztions that have programs to raise awareness. If you have the heart and the funds to suport a minstry like this with money, then you should start by finding an orginization that is going about things in the right way, and look at their donating options. Usually there are several options on donating, such as; rescuing, housing, restoring, and preventing.
Most organations all have the same goal. But unfortunately some of these ministrys aren't quite what they seem. Everyone has different opinions so it is really up to you to decide what ministry you want to support. There are some things you might want to look out for though. First of all you want to make sure they clarify that they are a nonprofit organization. You want to make sure any money that you donate (if you choose to do so) is going to help the girls in some way. All these organizations have different ways of going about things, but you should definetly make sure that the girls being rescued are taken in, housed, cared for, and tought life skills so they can eventually support them selves. Many teams that are sent in to rescue the girls, only arrest some of the slavers and send the children out to their homes, or on their own. This won't get them anywhere because most of the girls' family members are the ones who sold them for the need of money. The girls are very likely to go back into the slave trade because they have been almost brainwashed to the point where they believe they arne't good for anything else.
Many of the children end up in the sex slave trade because, they've been sold by parents or relatives. This is most of the time a result of their poverty. People become so desperate to survive, or support their fmaily, that they will resort to selling their own children into the sex slave trade. A few orginazations have recognized this problem, and are addressing it by doing things like empowering the pour. This can be done by helping the poor have businesses, and a means to make money.
